From The East: July 2010

Bretheren:

I must first apologize for the tardy trestle board. Vacation has taken its toll on me. That being said we are off to a new month.

Our June stated was well attended and we heard from the Masonic Home Ambassador Rt. Wor. Brother William Short. He gave us some insight in the workings and good work done by the staff at our Jewel of masonry. “THE MASONIC HOME OF VIRGINIA”.

We also received an update and useful information on the blood donor program for Masonic District 1-B from Worshipful Brother Jerry Waller. Please if you donate blood let Brother McCormick or I know so the lodge and District can get credit for it.

Our Last speaker for the evening was Worshipful Brother Michael King the District Instructor of Work. He passed on valuable information and explained the need for doing our work the best we can.

Our July stated will be Hawaiian shirt night, No Tux’s necessary, and feature a program by the Sojourners of building the flag. Please come out and enjoy it and the fellowship of Masonry, Meal at 6:30 and Meeting at 7:00 PM.

The Motion to increase dues passed and the dues will increase to $65.00 plus Grand Lodge assessments to equal $93.00 per year. Time to look at the LMIP for $1248.00 till December then it will increase next year.

I hope that everyone will have the opportunity to enjoy a vacation as I have and get a chance to relax.

See you soon and stay safe

Rex Rockhill

Worshipful Master
